Version of Pages

zaxxon25

For some of our sites we generate htmls from pages in Teamsite using ootb feature "Generate HTML" . We have observed that in this case versioning of pages does not take place.

The only way versioning can take place is

1) Tweak "Generate HTML" feature.
2) Write another workflow but i could not find command line for livesite 3.2 for generating htmls from pages.

I found an old livesite 2.2 case which shows

livesite_java.bat com.interwoven.livesite.tools.PageGenerator suffix username role propsFile vpath [vpath vpath ...]

However when i executed this the livesite 3.2 takes different aruments

livesite_java.bat com.interwoven.livesite.tools.PageGenerator suffix config propsFile vpath [vpath vpath ...]

If any one of you have used the above can you please guide me

Must admit, I'm a bit confused.

You'd like the originating page to be versioned when you generate HTML from it?
Surely, the originating page doesn't change when you generete HTML...
Or am I missing the point here?

Also, depending on the version being used, you can change the behaviour of the out-of-the-box Publish LiveSite Content (PLC) workflow to generate HTML when files are submitted, and the PLC will also submit the original page for you and thus ensure versioning.
