Reading Extended Attribute EA from Component

We currently developing on teamsite is v7.x. with the LSCS Datadeploy suite.

I'm trying to read the SitePublisher's .page EA values from an external component. What is the best methods of accessing them ?? Is there a built in JAVA class to access them?? Or am I forced to use the CLT iwattrib?? ?

Do you refer to a livesite-component with can have an 'external' added to it?

Or you you refer to some custom java-code? And if so: does this run on your Teamsite box or does this run on the Livesite/webserver-box?

To get EAs fom any asset using the runtime, you have to query the LSCS instance (using LSCS client) in an external. You can get the current page from RequestContext, then do query for that object and parse the XML data.

You can get the EA or metadata from component from external call using LSCS (REST API) if you are using TS and LS 7. for more details please refer the lscs technical referece document.

What I'm trying to do is, obtain the current page's language local and other EA set on the page, and from a LiveSite external component, render the component on the page dynamically based off of their EA through a custom JAVA class. I will look into the rest API.

Are you referring to the LSCSclient.Jar. Is there somewhere I download the documentation explaining the APIs??

It does contain the REST calls, but doesn't contain anything regarding LSCSclient.Jar This is Ideally what I want to use.
