I think you can put(.ipl file)in this location. I have not done it.
But if you are going to use that .ipl in external task...I think you should put it in the "IW-Home\Custom" other directory and make separation of your code from CGI programs...

Yes, that location is where you put any custom cgi, pl or ipl file you wish to call from the browser. I would make your own "custom" folder inside this location in order to keep your custom items separate from the out of the box TeamSite files.

"Custom" subfolders within ...httpd/iw-bin may cause serious problems with the impersonation
wrapper, iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi. Since it is very often needed, for Perl cgi I would recommend
to place modules directly under httpd/iw-bin - unfortunately.

De-facto standard location for other (non-cgi) Perl scripts is iwhome/custom/your_own_subfolders.
For custom PM Modules Autonomy recommends iwhome/iw-perl/site/lib.

In addition to this remark I advise to place a very basic .ipl under iw-bin which does nothing more then loading a custom-pm (placed under the perl-lib) which implements the custom code.
