iw-preview web.xml

TeamsiteDev

Hi,

I have made some changes to web.xml of iw-preview($IW_HOME/httpd/webapps/iw-preview/WEB-INF/web.xml) to run preview of pages in Teamsite. If I run a build , this file is overwritten and my changes are lost. I checked '$IW_HOME/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src/preview/etc/web.xml ' , this file is blank. Where should I keep my web.xml changes so that they are not if a build is run on Teamsite.

Regards,
Ankit

You should probably keep them in the second path - it's blank because you didn't populate it with your customizations - but it is [most likely] the source of the file that gets placed into the first path when you do a build.

Adding to that, since you seem unfamiliar with the UITK build process, is that the configuration files under livesite_customer_src (and customer_src) should contain *only* your customizations, and not the whole contents of the files you found under httpd/webapps. The build process takes its internal defaults and applies your particular customizations on top of it, producing the files you see in httpd/webapps. If you copy+paste everything from your current web.xml, you might have difficulties upgrading TeamSite later on because IWOV's updates to the default ruleset won't bleed through.
