I am facing a issue in deployment.
WE have 5 deployments definations in the configuration xml file as shown below
<script async="Yes" cmd="$endeca_dnr^ $availablePool^"/>
Issue is sometimes the fifth defined deployment "Xml" gets completed earlier and the dnr script gets executed, now if any other deployment fails then rollback of all deployments takes place but we can reverse the dnr script as its the external script.
CAn anyone suggest me of a solution such that DNR script should be executed only when all the deployments are successfull...And yeah dnr script is useful only for the "XML" content deployment....please suggest
Thanks in Advance,
Prasi

Could not paste the code so attaching the text file.
We have 5 definations as shown in the text file with dnr script for the fifth defination.
Issue is dnr script has to be executed for the "XML" deploymnet defination.
Currently if the xml deployment gets over then dnr script also gets executed successfully and if any of the above deployment gets failed then everything is roll back.But we cannot run the reverse of the dnr script.
Please suggest me a solution such that only after all the deplloyments are successfull,dnr script should get executed.
Please suggest a solution.I am stuck up.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Looking into your issue,you want to run the DNR script for XMLContent Definition.
Right Now If XMLContent successfully deployed DNR will also be executed.Because you coded like that.DNR execution is independent of other definitions apart from XMLContent.
If you want Script should Run after all successful deployment then you should code like that.
Can you please post with value this tag
<script async="Yes" cmd="$endeca_dnr^ $availablePool^"/>
So that I can look more into this problem

OpenDeploy does not guarantee the order in which execDeploymentTask's complete because they are run concurrently.
If you want a DNR to run after ALL the exectDeploymentTask's have completed you need to use a dnrDeployment
Job
- but that can only be run from the "source" side, not the "target" side - so it probably won't help you.
In your situation, about the only thing you could do - assuming that all execDeploymentTasks are targeted for the same receiver(s) is to have a dnrDeployment operation for all your execDeploymentTasks and have them "register" themselves as having run in some file on the local disk of the receiver (perhaps in ODHOME/tmp) and have the "real" script check that file in a loop (sleeping for N-seconds between checks) to determine when it is appropriate for it to continue doing whatever processing it needs to do.
It's not a great solution, but it might workl
