Custom menu item in ls edit or preview window?

Hi,

is it possible to add a custom menu item to a livesite edit or preview window?

When I add something to custom_ui.xml the menu-item appears in the preview window but when I choose this menu item I get an error:

Command my.operation.id not found in the command descriptors.

So it looks like livesite maps operation-id to java-classes (see command.xml) and then requires that this java-class implements com.interwoven.ui.base.command.Command (because that is the error that shows when I hack something into this command.xml)

So the question is:
- is this possible?
- is it supported?
