cgitask after 6.7.1 sp1 patch7

All,

I just recently upgraded from 6.7.1 SP1 patch1 to 6.7.1 SP2 patch7. After the patch update the cgitask are throwing 500 Internal server error.


declare_task( "tag_content",
    name  => "tag_content",
    owner  => $iw_user,
    description => "Tag content",
    type   => "cgitask",
    immediate  => "f",
    command  => "snt_tag.ipl",
    areavpath => $workarea,
   );

When a regular user clicks on "Start Input task" it gives 500 Internal server error, but when I login as a master and click on "start input task" it works without error.

Any help?

Try changing:

     ...
     command => "snt_tag.ipl",
     ...

to:

     ...
     command => "/iw-bin/snt_tag.ipl",
     ...

and see if that helps. I'm surprised it runs for anyone without the pathspec being there. Also try changing

"f"

FALSE

(all-caps, no quotes) for the value of

immediate

as the value is supposed to be a boolean and not a string - it gets turned into

"f"

in the generated jobspec, but it's not supposed to be set that way in WFconstructor code.

No there are no costs associated with patch upgradation... You can simply download the patch from support site.

I did change the path to /iw-bin/snt_tag.ipl but still the same error. Not sure what exactly changed on this patch. Along with this I'm seeing a new message on Group Tasks saying "You do not have permission to work on this task" though the user can click on "Take" and work on the task. This is kind of confusing to the users. Any info on this.

I've tried switching [authentication] flags on iw.cfg but no luck.

Enable debugging in the workflow to generate a job-spec file - then go through the instantiation process with both a 'master' and 'non-master' user and look at the job-spec (carefully) to see if you can spot any issues.

You might also consider upgrading to at least 6.7.2 SP2 (if not 7.2.x) since 6.7.1 is, at this point, pretty old.
