Import functionality - strange behaviour.

Hello All,

The problem is that when we try to import or download any file using the TS 6.7.1 UI through the link with host IP -http://****.****.****.****/iw-cc/command/iw.ui, we are able to import images. However, when we try to import or download files from UI through the link with host name - http://iwov.abcd.com/iw-cc/command/iw.ui, we are not able to do so due to a Java applet execution error.(the red X mark is seen in this case)
The following error is seen in the Java console -

load: class com.interwoven.launchpad100.LaunchPadApplet.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.interwoven.launchpad100.LaunchPadApplet.class

Check your iw.cfg file to see whether the hosts are listed as host-names or IP addresses. Also check your DNS to verify that the hostname evaluates correctly to the same IP address (both on the TS server and on client machines where you see the problem).

So this for every user who tries to import from any client machine on the network or just one Individual? I would suggest to check your JVM.

The JVM on the client machine is working fine for other teamsite servers and this behaviour has been noticed on multiple clients.
Also, could not find anything relevant to the host names and ip in the iw.cfg file.

Did you verify the DNS resolves the hostname to the same IP address that works? A simple ping hostname from the client machine(s) should tell you to what IP address they resolve the hostname.

Yes the DNS resolves the hostname correctly to the IP that is working fine.

Hi,

I have faced this issue several times,the RCA for this is the conflicting of JDK versions.Install JDK 1.6 and run,Hopefully it will work now
