TeamSite Installation on Windows 2008 Server

System

Greetings to all Team Site Guru's,

We are planning to install Team Site for training environment and looking for some queries and suggestion. We have Windows 2008 server which we want to use to setup Team Site. Since we already have Windows 2008 so we want to avoid new licenses for OS as much as possible.

Is TeamSite installable on Windows 2008?
If yes, Can some Guru share thoughts and essential requirement for doing installation on higher versions of Windows 2003 and specifically on Windows 2008?

Many Thanks
-Vijay

W2K8 is supported for TS 7.1, I'm not sure if it's supported for 6.x - beyond that, you should be looking at the product manuals for information about installations.

Thanks Ghoti for Reply,

I gone thru the TeamSite 6.7.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Release Notes.
It mentioned following..

Windows 2000 SP4, Windows 2003 SP1 Enterprise Edition 32-bit, Windows 2003
Standard Edition, Windows R2
Web servers: IIS (5.0 for Windows 2000 and 6.0 for Windows 2003), Apache
2.0.58, iPlanet 6.1, IBM HTTP Server 2.0.47

nipper

then you better load 7.1

It is straight forward, read the manuals and post if you have questions.

You do need a DB so have SQLserver (or Oracle or some other supported DB) somewhere with the appropriate drivers.
