Canned site

Hi All
We are trying to get the out-of-the-box "canned" site to work with Weblogic on Windows 2008.
Full set-up:
Teamsite 7.2.1 Windows2008 enterprise 64 bit jboss
Livesite Runtime Windows2008 enterprise 64 bit Weblogic 10.3.4 JDK 1.6.25
Oracle 11g database Windows 2008std
We are having great trouble setting up this "demo" site. When we try to follow the instructions to configure Weblogic the paths don't come close and when we try to start the site the log indicates that it can not create the bean for db.enabled.
Anyone made this particular set-up work? Any tips?
Thank you
Susan

Yes, I've had this setup work before (albeit on Win2k3). You don't need the database for the component-guide site (assuming that's the canned one you're talking about) so just set that flag to false in the database.properties and you can enable it later if you need it. If the file path doesn't match, it doesn't so much matter as long as you set up your deployment target path to go to the appropriate runtime folder for the exploded WAR. If you have specific concerns, post additional details and/or stack traces.

Not quite Rick. If you want to use the polling or rate this page components (and have them remember the results) you will need a DB installed.
Other than that, you will not need the DB.

Thanks for the inputs and we do need to have the database.
Further, once we finish the "configure Weblogic for LSDS", pages 84-89 of Web Solutions Runtime Components Installation guide v7.2r3 Teamsite 7.2.1 has become page not found. I suspect that it may be part of when we run the build.bat to update the LiveSite customer toolkit.
