VisualFormat Editor(VFE)

1) I am using VFE as an external editor in text area. When I type something in this VFE and go to the next field after finishing working with this area, a line as follows gets added at the beginning of the text area automatically.

2) Secondly, when I type content in DCR, somewhere in the middle of words , fonts get or added automatically as shown in above lines. Why is that ?

Then I have to remove this line by editing this area in HTML mode and remove extra fond in HTML mode.

How can I make sure that this line does not get attached or font dont get added automatically ?

3) How can I check what version of VFE or TinyMCE is being used in TeamSite ? If I want to update to newer version, can I just download the newer version on server and run it OR do I need to do anything else to integrate with TeamSite ?

Is this happen to you only or all the users? Did you try editing in view source mode and see see if anything is getting appended? Did you customize your VFE or is it OOTB? And no where you have mentioned about your Version of TeamSite and Your environment?

if it is OOTB, you would be better of attaching your VFE config file and also its xsl so that some one can really help you.

On that point, no you can't just upgrade the RTEs. I'm not sure how the VFE is integrated, but I do know that IWOV specifically changed things in the TinyMCE js to integrate with FormAPI and SitePub, which you obviously would overwrite by applying a new version. The editors do get upgraded across TeamSite versions though -- which one are you on?

If you are thinking about some VFE customization, coding it within "ewebeditproevents.js" is an old hack, it is not supported.
In a supported manner VFE customization module should be referenced through "ewebeditpro.js", OTB default is "customevents.js".
