Has anyone gotten this error is workflow when trying to send an e-mail

ERROR: Unable to send notification: The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for.

I am not sure where to go from here??

You need to provide a bit more information - don't you think? Like:
What script or program are you using within your workflow to send email?
How is the script or program being executed?
Have you tried sending email to this user from the TeamSite server *without* going through a workflow?

I think we are having e-mail server problems. I am using a personal mail server and it seems to work. Problem is I am getting a new error message

Failure to send Email: Bad file descriptor at d:\iw-home\iw-perl\site\lib/Mail/Mailer.pm line 267.

I am using iwsend_mail.ipl. And no, I have not tried to send an e-mail outside of a workflow. Might you be able to give me an example. We are on a W2K platform

Bad File Descriptor sounds like a problem with the SMTP server - from your TeamSite server, in a command prompt - try to telnet to your SMTP server:

telnet server-name 25

If you get connected, you'll know - just type: QUIT and hit <Enter> to disconnect.
If you don't get connected - talk to your IT folks
