Versioning in TS

I have TS 6.5 SP2.
I am curious to know how the versioning of files and DCRs done in TeamSite. How and Where does it happen?
Please provide me any document for reference...

Hi,

Versioning in TeamSite is done when we submit a file to the Staging area. You can refer to the TS user guide for additional information. I believe the TS product mannuals cannot be shared. You might need to get them from Autonomy company.

Go to the properties of any file and you will see the current version.
If you want to revert to any specific version then click on the Versions link on the upper right hand side, you can change the required versions from here.
Please do remember that versions are made when we submit the file/files to staging.

- Versioning is done per Branch. There is no "cross-branch" history.

- Versions are saved and tracked through Editions, not File per File basis.

- Anonymous(numbered) Edition gets created every time you submit, named Edition when you publish.

- All "Files" within Editions are actually references to certain File Objects. Thus Edition's File, modified
or otherwise, consumes very little disk space on subsequent publishing. It is nothing but a "link" to the
File's Object version that is current at the moment of Edition's publishing
