Web CMS (TeamSite)
Login Authenticatino Expiration
Hazzie
we have an audit requirement that users always have to authenticate to get into Teamsite. Therefore we have to find ways of making sure this happens.
Would the following enable this and can you see any problems that it might occure or things to consider if its done.
Edit the iw.cfg and place the following lines in.
[authentication]
ui_login_authentication=0s
cookie_lifetime=0
I am trying to catch the times when users do not properly logoout using the logout button but instead click the X in the top right corner of the browser. When they click the X they must be logged out.

ok making both 0's is not a good idea since it automatically logs you out as soon as you log in.
Is the session being held open by the browser that says "Interwoven TeamSite Launch Page" in its title. This is the one that has one button on it that brigns up the login in screen?
If i extend the ui_login_authentication to something like 60m and cookie life time to 0 and then log in i notice the following.
If i close the teamsite screen using the X and click the launch additonal TeamSite session button. It auto logs me in. If i close both teamsite window and this launch additional window and then try to go back into teamsite i and forced to log in again.
So, is there a way to automatically close the "Interwoven TeamSite Launch Page" browser automaticaly without having to rely on the user to close it?
Has any body else got the same security problems as us?

Im doing the exact same thing:
[authentication]
ui_login_lifetime=10m
cookie_lifetime=0
And its working for me .... however there is still one problem.
After 10 mins. if i try to do something in Teamsite WebDesk Pro web interface, i am successful whereas i expect teamsite to force a relogin before i could do any thing. So the bottom line is that session expiration isn`t working for me but cookie expiration is ok.
