I saw some slides in April about some 7.2 functionality. Expected it in early May, but have not seen anything. Has anyone else seen/heard about it ?

Last I heard, they were aiming for a 6-9 month cycle on dot releases. So, I wouldn't expect it prior to July or August at the earliest. Then again, the roadmap seems to be more mysterious now than it ever was.

I had heard from a VP in early April that it was 4-6 weeks away. That was 8 weeks ago.

Have they released the TeamSite SitePublisher Developer's Guide for 7.1 yet?

Last I heard on that (from three different IWOV folks) was "It's going to be another couple of weeks". That was two weeks ago. Creedence Clearwater Revival had a song named "Someday Never Comes". I think it may have been about the documentation.

I've been told it's coming, no fixed date, "hopefully this month".

I was told it is, just like 7.1, still an English only release.

OK, I saw a preso about it, with some cool functionality to help with multiple language support. There is also significant ability to associate disparate objects, so you can do a where is blah.jpg referenced ?

It does look like they finished up the 7.1 docs (there's a 7.1 SitePublisher dev guide now), so maybe that will free up some time to work on 7.2.

I just heard the latest news = no fixed date yet. But you can expect helpful features for multi-language for your implementation.

I've been told apart from a bunch of small fixes, the biggest change is that it is properly 64-bit. Dunno how useful this will be, but it's important to have options for those that just want to spend more money.

We have TS 7.0 and are just starting to look at TS 7.2. The TS Release Notes Revision 3 doesn't seem to include Windows Vista as a client OS. Has anyone tried that? Unfortunately, our company hasn't rolled out Windows 7 yet.

Incidentally, would we be able to use the cool Dependency Management feature to auto-regenerate the HTML files generated from all the SitePublisher pages which have a certain component that was modified?

I'm guessing we can use the CSSDK to do that, but I hope we don't have to manually set up the relationships first.

Sure....Dependency Mgmt will provide you either through the UI or through API various *associations* between assets. Based on the type of association you can do any set of operations on it -- re-generate files, attach to workflows, etc. The client OS (as long as you are on an overall support OS / browser) really does not have anything to do with Depemency Mgmt.

If you are migrating from a previous version of TS, there is an OOTB migration utility that will build these *associations* for you -- typically clients run it once when they upgrade.
