Report services getting stopped automatically

We are facing an issue with the Teamsite Report Service . When the service is started, this is what happens. Some issue while inserting data into FileVersions table and the service is getting stopped automatically. Due to this our reports are not getting generated. The below error is getting logged. Can anyone help us to figure the issue?

The key is the "String or Binary data would be truncated".

When I found these, I believe I was able to turn on debug logging to see what it was trying to insert. I then had to modify multiple columns to widen them and allow the data to be inserted.

No. It was one of the Report Center tables like EventsSummary, Files, FileVersions, etc.

Thats really a helpful point. Thanks; I understood that we are altering the properties of a system table which gets created at the time of installation. Is there any impact of this to the system? especially at the time of version upgrade? Do we have any standard recovery procedures to be followed while doing so?

I imagine that the changes would be wiped out during an upgrade, but I don't know that for sure. We haven't upgraded after making these changes and if we do, it will likely be a new install onto new servers, so I wouldn't be able to tell you then, either.
