Send version string to receiver, RC = 13

Define please and/or (better yet) point me to documentation that tells me what these return codes mean.

Thanks.

In what context? Where did you come across this. I mean as anyone here can do, I google'd it came up with bunch of results and in most of the cases its "file not found".

Just curious as where did you get this and if possible you can post the code snippet.

Thanks

This is a return code from OD during a deployment. And Google'ng doesn't get you much for this query.

What I am looking for is the location of documentation (if it exists) that lists the translation of return codes for OD.

Note that this is not OD return code per se. It's an error message in OD Base log, indicating a return code
of some internal function / operation. Numerous error messages are not documented, there are some explanations
in KB articles, etc...

In any case, RC=13 indicates a generic failure to communicate to receiver. Check if receivers are running,
Firewalls (if any) allow OD port, etc. If all is fine get to corresponding OD Receiver Logs. Local receiver
process often shows better information than sender in such cases ( sender after all knows only that it did
not get a response)

Oh, btw... iwodcmd has 4 RCs documented in OD Admin Guide, 0 - completed, 1 - failed to start, 2 - failed,
9 - completed with errors

The RC is most likely a system error - which if you look up the number (13) in /usr/include/sys/errno.h (or similar for your OS) - you will find that it probably is defined as EACCES - permission denied - which means that something, somewhere ran into a permissions problem.

This could be, as Boris suggests, a problem communicating with the Receiver, but it could also be a failure that occurred after communication to the receiver was made. In such cases there is usually more information available in the log files (like an invalid target area specified or some such).

For Windows - you might want to look here
