Intermittent failure in OD.

Hi,
My OD fails intermittently,
here are the receiver logs,

What I dont like is this error doesn't happen all the time and hence it becomes very difficult to find out why this is happening, I have also checked the space available in the directory in which it is trying to deploy and it has sufficient space,

TS version 672
OD version 61

You appear to be getting a permissions error.
Is the OD Base and Receiver running as 'root' or 'non-root'?

Since we have windows environment, its been run by the NT Authority/System user at both base and receiver.

Hmm - usually I do a better job of looking at the logs before asking that - sorry.

Next question - are these transactional or non-transactional deployments? and are there multiple such deployments that could be targeting the same directories (and even the same files) concurrently on the same receiver(s)?

No problem.
These are non-transactional deployments and yes there could be multiple deployments targetting the same server at the same location.

One more information that might help, since there is a DNR script (perl) that runs on Successful deployment, Was just wondering whether this error pops up if a deployment tries to execute the ipl file which is currently being used by another deployment in progress.

Okay - if it's non-transactional you're less likely to run into cross-deployment conflicts.

The error messages seem to start with .iwtmp files - as such it is highly unlikely that your DNR script would have had anything to do with those. I'm assuming your DNR runs essentially "after+on-success" - which means it might not have run in this case, or if it did - it was after the error occurred.

So I think there's still some data missing from this. You'll have to continue to peruse log files (both sender and receiver) and perhaps work with Support.
