Different Permissions on Versions

Hi,

I have a requirement of giving different permissions on different versions of a same file.

Eg.
-->I want that User A can access Version 1 of a file abc.txt but cannot access Version 2 of abc.txt.
-->User B cannot access Version 1 of abc.txt but can access version 2 of abc.txt.

When you say "access" do you mean "read" or "modify"?


You could write a workflow that's activated when a submit occurs that checks the current permissions on the file and switches who can have access to the file. That way every time it get's submitted and a new version is created you set the permissions to whatever you want.

If you want to prevent read access, that's going to be tougher since the files get submitted and the submit config could get in your way.

Remember, once something is staged, you can't change anything about it including permissions.
