Examples of websites using SitePublisher?

jwl

Hi there,

I'd like to gather some opinions about SitePublisher from the floor. I'm trying to determine whether it would be useful for our customers.

Does your site use SitePublisher? (If so, what's the URL)
How does your organisation use it - are your users enthusiastic about the 'empowerment' it delivers them, if any?

Is it straight forward to install on top of an existing TeamSite installation? I ask because I don't see a separate installation program for it.

I assume it needs an additional licence, right?

Thanks in advance,
John

I'm interested in more SitePublisher-based sites also. Those 2 weren't particularly complex.

In pre-v7, it's a separate module and separate install. In 7+, it's bundled with the TeamSite iwpkg. Install is fairly "next, next, next" but you may need to connect it to a DB for some features, so plan for that. If you're not going to be generating static HTML from your pages, you'll need the LiveSite Runtime/DisplayServices to render your content, so it's another install plus OD configuration.

The license for SP piggybacks on the TS license. When you generate it, you must enable SP. LSRT/LSDS does not require a license file.

www.llu.edu is a SP/LS site, there is also an intranet site for them. www.llumc.com is going live in the next month or so.

Also www.nfl.com is a SP site. URL does not use .page so I am not certain what is running it.

Finally re: dignitymemorial, while it may not be a complex site it was up in a very short time (3 months) with TS 7.1

Nice sites. NFL.com is more along the lines of a site that Nike would produce.

I have heard a number of companies say they were involved with the NFL, but I know for a fact that Digithaus did the vast majority of the SP work.
