How to hide a checkbox through Formapi

We are trying to hide the check box from formapi using IWDatacapture.getItem("/Paragraphs["+ typeCount + "]/RelatedXmlAssetCheck1").setVisible(false);

We are unable to achieve it. Attached is the code snippet of datacapture.

Could anyone help please ?
