I have 13 versions of a file in staging.

If I delete file from workarea and submit it to staging, will it delete all versions in staging ?

If I want to delete few versions from staging, how can I do that ?

Staging is a read-only area where you cannot delete any file.
Yes, deleting a file in workarea and submitting it will delete the file from Staging area as well. I do not think it is possible to do selective version deletion from Staging as it will affect the editions using that version.

No..It will not delete all the version's of the file from staging...But it will create a new deleted version in staging.

e.g. You have 13 versions of the file, when you delete the file from workarea you have created 13+ version, when you will submit the deleted file, then you will have 14 version of file with icon as deleted version.

To see the version of the file after deleting & Submitting from workarea use
View --> All and Deleted Files.
then select the file and you can view the version of that file.

You can't delete the particular version of the file, because they all exist in the STAGING, and you can't do any operation with STAGING content.

Your statement is correct at high level. But technically, you can delete file version by deleting the corresponding hidden edition with that file version, something like .../EDITION/#23. of course,this is not something anyone should do without knowing all the consequences.
