If I'm understanding you correctly - you have a CGI task script (perl or java?) within which you wish to provide links (either hyperlinks or buttons) to invoke another CGI - and it's that other CGI for which you need to provide the current task's taskid value - yes?
The CGI Task script has access to the taskid value as a form variable - so you would retrieve it from there so that you can then use it elsewhere.

If you don't know how to access it (with a perl program) - you might want to spend some time reading the Workflow Developer's Guide -- there's an example of the code you need right in there.

/iw-cc/importfiletotask?done_page=/iw-cc/iw-bin/close_window.ipl?taskid=(here i want the taskid for the cgitask)

Importfiletotask is basically just like clicking import link in any task.

so that when importfiletotask completes its wizard then it goes to this done_page url with taskid parameter.

Is there anyway in WFM to get taskid value in configurable variables?

There is one Teamsite Macro Variable %taskid; but I am not sure how can i use it.

I hope I make little bit clear now.

You'll probably have to write your own little CGI wrapper program that retrieves the task id from the form variables and then redirects to the URL command.
