Hi,

I see some strange behaviour in our Teamsite UI. We are using TS 6.7.2 SP2 on windows. When one of the user initiated a workflow, it got struck in the CGI task with error message saying that one of the files has been locked by that user. But when that user went and checked the file it is showing locked by another person. Its not updated in the iwevents.log also. Why it is happening like this.

Any suggestions.

Check the owner of the tasks in your workflow. The new user may be the owner of a tasks and the WF is grabbing the lock under that person's name.

Yes check what Andy said, and also you can do one thing, You can throw a unlock task in the workflow just before the CGI task and then see what happens?

Before that if i were you i would try unlocking the file from UI and then instantiate another workflow and see how it is behaving.
