Is it possible to use Ephox or other wysiwyg editors with TeamSite and/or can we use a newer version of TinyMCE with TeamSite?

I assume you mean as a WYSIWYG editor for templates. It can be done with a significant amount of work you can. TinyMCE was integrated with TST before IWOV did.

That is always a good question with my users. :-) I am trying to gather options for them for a WYSIWYG editor to use with templates. I have some rough requirements. For "me" I'm looking for more functionality then I can get with TinyMCE and easier configuration/customization. Since we don't have direct access to the TinyMCE.init() with TeamSite's implementation it makes customizing difficult.

We currently use VisualFormat and they want to switch to TinyMCE (they liked the interface more.) But I want to be able to explore others too.

If I recall correctly (I never did this) the initial field-integration of TinyMCE used a callout to launch a separate window with an external-to-TeamSite instance of TinyMCE in a textarea and then used JavaScript / FormAPI code to take the results of the callout's textarea to populate the plain-text textarea in the DCT form (you might be able to populate an internal-to-TeamSite TinyMCE textarea, but that may be a source of more confusion than help).

This same approach (if I am remembering it correctly) should be able to be applied to any external-to-TeamSite WYSIWYG editor.

Hi Seth,

There is no way to integrate another tool with TinyMCE, nor is there a way to upgrade TinyMCE seperately from TeamSite. You can only use the editors that come with TeamSite.

My follow up question was Will there be the ability to integrate the customers choice of WYSIWYG editors (like EPHOX) in future versions of ContentCenter?
