Deployment to Multiple location in same target server

Hi ,

I have a requirement where we have to deploy to different location in one target server.Is there any way where we can define a single defination having all the target nodes so that a single defination is able to deploy to multiple target filesystem .One nodeRef useNode="abc" should define all the target areas in the defined server.

specification:-TS 6.72,OD 62 .

Your two statements are contradictory.

For the first one, "deploy to different location in one target server" you'll have to write multiple definitions in your config file.

For the second one, " single defination having all the target nodes so that a single defination is able to deploy to multiple target filesystem " you need to use "replication farm".

Reason from server: DEPLOY_CONFIG_FILE
Details : Got null definitions hashmap.
Please find the attached deployment configuration file.(deployment.txt)

I tried using in another way also.please refer (deployment1.txt).
And if there is some other approach please suggest as these both approach are not working.

Try adding the highlighted line:

<targetFilesystem area="IGNORED"/>
      <comparisonRules  dateDifferent="yes"/>
      <permissionRules  file="0644" directory="0755"/>
      <replicationFarmLink>
        <internal name = "webserverfarm"/>
      </replicationFarmLink>
    </target>
...

The targetFilesystem element is required even though its value is ignored due to the targetRules elements that precede it.

Also - I'm assuming you are passing along the "source_area" and "webserver_filelist" variables on the command line with the '-k' flag.
