Script to automatically submit & publish files is failing

I'm working on a script that will scan a directory and compare the modified date to today's date. If there's a match, the modified file will get submitted to stage. Also a filelist of all the modified files will get generated and then all the files will get deployed to our production environment.

I'm having trouble with the task that creates the filelist with the files associated with the workflow and then invoke the deployment. I'm also pulling in all the file paths that need to be deployed into this array:

push(@submitFilesList, $filepath);

Then I convert the array to a list variable with all the paths from the "foreach" block:
$fileToDeploy = join(' ',@submitFilesList);

However I'm stuck trying to get this variable passed to the $deployFilesList varible. (which writes to a the temp directory.)

OK, I do not understand something

Why not just do something like this

open (">$outfile", OUT) || die ("Cannot write to $outfile ($!)");
foreach (

$submitFilesList)
{
print OUT $_."\n";
}
CLOSE(OUT)

and use $outfile as your filelist for the deployment ?
