Visual Format adding extra <p>*</p> ..

Has anyone expierenced a < p > tag set of code being added in the VFE text boxes when clicking in them? This seems to happen to us when we have two instances of VFE above each other. When you click in the boxes < p >*< /p > gets automatically added into the text box prior to anything you've typed.

We're using version 5.1.0 of VFE on TS 6.7.2, Solaris. Just curious if this is something that can be eliminated in the configuration file? In researching on the Ektron forum it seemed that this may be a bug that was fixed by a patch, but since our VFE in intergrated in TS I don't believe we have that option.

This is a bit of a pain, at least in the past. We have tried to use the "clean" function and we either were not good enough to figure it out or it just cant do the job.

We did, however, write TPL perl function to "process" all Text Area items and remove the

You need to deal with hard returns that are "supposed" to be there. So we limited it to begining and closing elements only. That seemed to work okay.

Recently, I used tinymce instead of VFE and it does not have the same behavior. Its not my prefered editor, however.
