Reading file using perl

I need to read a file using perl. The file contains the DCR list like,
about.txt

./sample/foo/foo/sample1.xml
./edit/foo/foo/sample2.xml
./test/foo/foo/sample3.xml

I have written a do while loop but its executes a single line and exists..

Have you done any Perl programming?
Have you read any Perl books?

Your subject says you want to read a file using perl - but your post indicates that you've only tried doing this in [bourne] shell.

If you're comfortable coding / scripting - I recommend you pick up [at least] Programming Perl - spend a little time reading it and playing with perl - and then see if you can figure out how to write the code you are asking about (it should be pretty easy)

You'll get a lot more out of it if you go that route than if you just get someone to spoon-feed you a coded solution.
