invalid login for Teamsite 5.5

What

I am facing this weird issue where some users are not able to login to Teamsite 5.5

This issue is with some users. they are getting invalid login message.
Other user are able to login.

This issue has started after server restart.

Please assist.

TeamSite 5.5. users are managed unders iw-home/conf/roles directory if I remember rightly. I suggest starting with a check that the users are valid teamsite users in the configuration files (maybe they have been previously removed and this was only picked up with the restart).

It is on solaris 8.
I am trying to login through teamsite.
User is present in roles.

One possibility is that their passwords have expired. Check the logs for the actual error message.

I have tried resetting the passwords.

5.5. Good luck with that. I know there is a bug in older TS that it didn't handle passwords longer than 18 characters or so. That was because windows NT had a limitation

5.5 is ancient and no longer supported officially by Interwoven (it was end-of-lifed long before Autonomy acquired Interwoven) - you should seriously consider upgrading - which won't be a trivial task given how out-of-date your current system is.

That being said, you may have to remove users from the entity database using the iwuser CLT - look at the manuals for more information on its usage.

Once they're successfully removed you may need to use the same CLT to add them back - though just making sure they're in the right IWHOME/conf/roles/*.uid files should be sufficient.
