Can't create a hard link in Teamsite.

I have the need to opendeploy files from different directories to a single target. I wanted to create hard links to those files since opendeploy seems to deploy symbolic links as symbolic links and won't follow the symlink to deploy the file.

When I try to create a hard link I get this error.
ln: cannot create link myDataFile.xml: Operation not supported on transport endpoint

Any input would be appreciated.

I don't believe you can get it to deploy something as a hard-link - but you should be able to get it to work with symlinks if you alter the default setting of the followLinks attribute in the various locations where it can be used (read the manuals and/or DTDs for more information).
