Hi All-

I am performing an onSaveValid that communicates some messages to the user that some additional records will be updated.

Ideally, I would like the save to be performed, and then communicate these messages.

Example

Current Process
Edit DCR, perform some actions, user clicks save (OnSaveValid, function()) is invoked, user is notified of background tasks, save is not completed.
Future Process
Edit DCR, perform some actions, user clicks save (onSaveDone, function()) is invoked, save is completed, user is notified as to what happened in the background

I assume this is easy, but maybe not

You'd have to be more specific to get any non-trivial suggestion.

In general, you can perhaps run asynchronous callServer to initiate additional onSave processing and
activity notifications from the onSaveValid handler. Return 'true' from Handler to assure saving, etc...

Note that Client/Server thread synchronization becomes your problem in this approach. Then again, from
little you've explained it *seems* that you may need some asynchronous processing in any case, callServer
or no callServer
