trouble with iwsrchquery

i am trying to run a search using the CLT (TeamSite 6.7.2)

my query is (basically a simplified version of what is in the manual) attached
but I am getting the following output:

Failure. Error: 20001. Detail: s4s-att-not-allowed: Attribute 'maxOccurs' cannot appear in element 'element'.

I am sure that I am just missing something simple, but for the life of me cannot figure it out.
