Logging rotation for odbase.log failed

I'm trying to make the OpenDeploy log files smaller and rotate them. In odbase.xml I changed to logrules to this:

<logRules directory="C:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\log" level="verbose" maxBackupIndex="100" maxBytes="200Kb"/>

And restarted the OD service. However the odbase.log is still not rotating.

The only time it does rotate is when odbase.log is bigger dan 32Mb and the service is restarted. If the service is never restarted the log file will keep growing untill the disk is full.

The odbase.log does show some kind of error when it's restarted, but I have no idea what to do with it.

Does anyone know why it's not rotating or if there is another place where you can set the log size?

I thought maybe the forum rendering code had swallowed your back-slashes in the path above - but looking at the raw text of your message that doesn't appear to be the case - "C:InterwovenOpenDeployNGlogtest" (no slashes of any kind) is not a legitimate path.
I suggest you make sure that's fixed (if it is actually written that way) first - perhaps try using forward slashes (despite being on Windows) and then see if it works.
Also note that the sizing argument may be case-sensitive such that "Kb" is not the same as "kb" or "KB" - the manual would seem to specify all-lowercase lettering so try "kb".
If you're specifying a sub-directory "test" - you should probably make sure the directory exists first - but I'm not sure I'd recommend using a sub-directory like that - I believe it is intended to the location of the actual log file not a specific directory just for rotated logs - so either all your logs will live in this "test" directory (rotated and non-rotated) or else none of them will. For the purposes of keeping things simple so that other folks brought onto the project will know where to look for the log files, I recommend leaving off the "test" piece.
