Include a reusable DCT snippet in datacapture.cfg

Hi,

does anyone know how i can include a reusable code snippet like a snippet for a component or an item within datacapture.cfg?

I want to do it using java(not java -cp) and not iwperl. If anyone knows a framework that interwoven provides for this, please notify.

Doing it in perl is trivial.

You can use BASIC for all the DCT cares. You need to run a program/script that outputs the desired XML within substitution tags.

Just curious, what's wrong with -cp? You can generate "inline" substitution in either Perl or Java.
You'll have to provide classpath though. Something like the following will take care of calling your code from DCT:

<inline command="java -classpath /usr/local/... "/>

If your "CP" issue is a portability one, you can perhaps encapsulate your inline call into some shell executable.
You will then call portable shell from DCT and either mutate script across Environments or come up with some
mechanism to obtain CP within the shell
