OD is delaying

Hi All,
I am using TS 6.7.2 and OD 6.2 in Solaris system. When doing deployment to base to reciver we found out that it take considerable amount of time (nearly 20 mins) taken to deploy even a 1 single file. When checking the receiver log we found out the following.

You should probably be using at least OD 6.2.1 (as opposed to 6.2.0)

Is it safe to assume that this is a filelist deployment?

Is this a single point-to-point deployment, or is this one receiver out of a farm of multiple receivers?

Is this a transactional or non-transactional deployment?

Is this the only deployment happening at the time, or are there other deployments going on concurrently?

How big are the server configuration files (odbase.xml, odnodes.xml, odrcvr.xml)?

Where is the receiver relative to the base server (same data-center, across the country, across the world)?
M>Across the country
Are you going through any firewalls?
M>Yes
There may be other questions to ask - but those should do reasonably well for starters.

Size - either number of lines, or bytes.
The fact that you are doing a transactional deployment and that it is through a firewall could increase the overall time it takes to deploy - but unlikely that it has that significant effect.

You will probably have to work with your network admins to see if they can trace the packets being sent / received and figure out where they're getting hung up. Once you have that data, you can try to engage Support.
