Using MediaBin 4.6.2 Build 17, and Windows 2003 server:A few of our users are now running Windows 7, and when they try to download assets using the Windows client, the progress bar continually scrolls for several minutes until the download is cancelled. I watched the user check to see whether or not the file had downloaded to the specified directory, and it had not. But Job History lists the download as completed.Has anyone else run into this problem, and if so, did it make any difference if you used the MB Windows client?
Sorry, but I am a bit confused by the version # you gave. There isn't a version 6.7.2. Are you using version 4.6 (or 4.6.2) or 7.2?If 7.2, is this with the "legacy" (HTML) web client or with the RIA (Silverlight) web client? They are quite different thus there could be different causes based on which client you are using.Thanks- Matt
You probably want to check the \transfer folder in the Web Client Directory (default c:\Program Files\MediaBin Web Client) to see if the files are getting generated there. If you verify that, then check the global.asa to make sure that the setting for the transfer folder (usually a UNC path like "\\server\TransferFolder20") is mapped correctly to that folder. Also check permissions (on the share and directory) to make sure that the IIS anonymous account can read the file.Where is the failure happening? Do you see the link to download but the download itself fails? Check the URL to see if it matches up with the path/filenames in the Transfer directory. If you don't get that far (if it failes while processing the jobs) then there probably is an error with one of the DLLs. If you are using IE, then turn off "Show Friendly Error Messages".Oh, and does this only happen for the Windows 7 users?Thanks- Matt
Do you have the download applet enabled or are you doinga right click/save as?Cheers,Lyman Hurd
