OD reciever failure on copying to new Server

We have a requirement wherein we need to move our target production application server to a new network. To start this we created a new instance of app server(on a different machine) and moved everything we could find to this new server from existing app server.
The layout should be the same, and we also moved over the entries for the passwords and home dirs.
Can anyone help in providing answers to below query:
1. Will OD reciever work on copying all OD related files from an existing target server to a new server?
If not what configuration changes do we need to make/check in teamsite configuration files on target reciever server. Is license needed incase we install the same OD reciever from old server.
I tried to test the Open deploy by pointing my staging deployment from teamsite base server to this new server by changing IP address in odnodes.xml
the deployment is failing with error message " Exceeded all 3 retries to get a connection with the target OpenDeploy host.Failed creating socket."
I checked the ODreciever server status and it gives following error: "cannot open /etc/defaultiwodhome60***Error Failed to get path to OpenDeploy Home directory from /etc/defaultiwod60home"
Any pointer on this would be appreciated

Did you copy OD home from one server to another or did you install OD on the 2nd server and then copy the config files ? You need to do the latter.

Hi,
We did not copy ,rather we simply cloned everything from old to new server.. Tomcat ran ok with the required config changes. Seems that the only thing left is open deploy. Do we need to change some configuration files of OD reciever? If yes which and what change.
Can there be a license issue ?. But same license is working on old server.
Do we need to re-install it.

I do not know because what you did was unsupported. The typical way to do this is reinstall OpenDeploy

The logs will tell you if the license is bad, but you are in violation of your license agreement by using the same license twice.

First - download and read the OpenDeploy product manuals - that should answer most of your questions.
