How can I create multiple DCRs from one DCT ?
If there are a multiple select options in DCT form and I need to create a separate DCR for each selection. How can I do that ? Is there some functionality available to do that ?

no such functionality OOB. Also why would you implement such kind of Architecture?
You will have to use perl (in the DCT code) to create new files along with the default DCR . These new files will have content strucutre in DCR specific XMLs and you will associate additional metadata to make them DCRs.

A DCT is a template, a DCR is an instance of that template which has been filled in and saved. You almost always create multiple DCRs from a DCT.

It depends on what you mean. I've developed some DCTs which support a "one-each" type concept in which the select list is tied into an auto-naming scheme which makes sure that you don't overwrite an existing DCR of the same name.
For example - say you have a select list with three entries:

If I have the first entry selected and I choose to save the DCR - I get a DCR named "tom.xml"; if the second entry is selected I get "****.xml"; and if the third entry is selected I get "harry.xml". What's more - the code that does the auto-naming verifies that there isn't a file already in existence with that name, so if I already have a "tom.xml" and try to create another one - I'll get a dialog box telling me that it already exists and prevent me from overwriting it.Is this all OOTB - not entirely, you need to write some code - but it's not that difficult.
