Template DCR save error

Has anybody come across this error -
Save was unsuccessful. Invalid category/type null was received

when I try to edit and save an existing data record in templating.

I have to again and again create a new form DCR to test the templating.

TS 6.7.2 SP2

Disable your formapi and test again.

Most likely this is formapi related, if it is disable your onsave event handler and try again. Then narrow it down.

How do I disable a formapi ? in which pdf can i get that ?

It explain how to include script. By reading that, I believe, you will be able to disable it.

Simplest solution found for this -

There is an option for

Expand all items

when you open an existing DCR.
Clicking on that option expans all the items ..make the changes in the record and then save it ... it saves successfully with all the changes .
