My requirement is to load a DCR on click of any link in xsl. There are 12 links on the page and on click of each link, a new DCR has to load in the existing

. each link has a name of month, and on click of each month, the respective month DCR should load its content in the same

If I understand your question - you have 12 links and you want to display 12 different DCRs based upon which link you click.

There are a number of ways to do this.
1) You could create 12 different .page files (****_jan.page, ****_feb.page...) where each .page loads the corresponding DCR. Then link directly to those pages. Not very scalable but it should meet your limited scope.

2) I have NOT tried this and I'm not 100% sure it will work. If you do attempt this, please post your results so others may benefit from your findings.

I have not found an easy way to get parameters passed in on the query string (if anyone has an easy way, let me know). But I have created an external that creates a doc of all the parameters and header tags passed in that is accessible within the component. It actually is a pretty simple external to create and would be a good exercise to learn how to create externals. Once the parameters are available to the component you can use something like this:
[PHP] put path to DCR here*

[/PHP]
* The trick may be to get the path to the DCRs and it most likely will not work in preview mode (without some more complicated logic)
Our path to the DCRs is: /opt/interwoven/LiveSiteDisplayServices/runtime/web/templatedata/promotion/learnmore/data

From there $DCR contains your DCR's content and you may get the values from it using

You need to give more details, i.e. what are the parameters to work with. From your brief description, it sounds like this should be easy with LSCS

Do you use LSCS ? LSDS ? What OS ? What rev of TS/SP/LS ?

AJAX can be used to achieve this functionality. On click of month link, make AJAX call to load DCR XML content to the page.

I am not sure this is simple I have faced same requirement and I achieved using Ajax call.

Whenever cliked the link Passed some param to my External java class based on the param, read thr dcr and return use this reponse text to add innerhtml to output div.
