Initiating Workflow from java

Hi All,

i have one scenario like, it should initiate the workflow Automatically.
Can we initiate the workflow from java.Please help me.

I think you didn't get my question. I developed a workflow which can be initiated in Teamsite UI manually.

Now,I want to invoke Workflow from external java program which will be executed for every one hour in teamsite environment.

1. How did you develop your WF? using WFM or WFT?
2. Are u using CSSDK for you external taks which run in Java?
3. If you say that you have an external java program to invoke a workflow, you should be using CSSDK to establish the factory object to your TS server and then can do what ever you want.

You question is still very vague, either you post your external java code where you are trying to invoke the wf for some one to help you.

You question is still very vague, either you post your external java code where you are trying to invoke the wf for some one to help you.

Assuming you're using CSSDK, it doesn't really matter if you developed the workflow in WFM or WFT because - I believe - you need a job specification file in order to instantiate the workflow via CSSDK createWorkflow() method - which means you'd have to enable debugging to generate the job specification file and possibly modify that output so that you can pre-process it for variable substitutions before you instantiate it.

If you're using a WFT, you could instantiate it by using the CLT iwwft_compile.ipl - which allows you to pass in parameters (including file lists) via an XML input file.

If you're using a WFM, you can instantiate it by using the CLT iwmodelc - but there's no way (that I know of) to pass in parameters (including file lists) - so it doesn't really help that much (kind of useless CLT IMO)
