Upgrade from TS 6.5 to TS 7.2

Hi,

I have a requirement to upgrade TS 6.5 to TS 7.2 even on new HW.

From the prev post I can see 2 approaches.

1) Upgrade To first 6.7 SP2 and then 7.2
2) Install 7.2 on new HW and migrate everthing on that.

Please can you help me to finalise the best approach for this requirement. Even what all pros and cons could if I will go for any of these too.

You cannot learn this in 10 minutes.
Start working with it & crash and burn. Or tell your boss to hire someone who knows what they are doing,
