MediaBin SDK.

rodigz

The MediaBin service document mentioned that a MediaBin SDk is available.
Java Interface Reference Chapter 4
"For your convenience, MediaBin provides a prebuilt Java API (built with AXIS) in
the MediaBin SDK. The Java portion of the SDK includes the full Java wrapper for
the MediaBin Web service and also includes a sample application to provide you
with a great starting point for you own applications. See the Readme.txt file inside
the Java/lib subdirectory of the SDK for more information about the prebuilt
Java library"

Anyone has able to access the MediaBin SDK?

thanks.

Anyone has able to access the MediaBin SDK?

Yes. What's the follow up question? Are you looking for the documentation? the precompiled JAR? Evidence that someone has successfully built something with it?

You should also specify which version.

rodigz

thanks.
The pre-compile jar.
We have MediaBin 8.

I don't know off-hand where it is in version 8. In the 4.6.x series, it was part of a separate zip download (labeled SDK or some such), and the jar was named MediaBinServer.jar.

rodigz

Thanks. We can't find it.
Can u please attached the SDK zip for version 4.6.
Appreciate it.

I didn't mean to imply that I had a copy on hand, not that that would be legit or help you much anyway.

BTW, if you have a copy of TeamSite installed, you can copy it from your ApplicationContainer's iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/lib.

You don't see MediaBinServer.jar in iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/lib? It's been shipped with TeamSite since at least as far back as TS 6.7 (though obv it was at a different path in the tomcat days)...

I was also looking for the SDK for Virage803, as we used it in MB462. Recevied this from support;

Kind Regards
Scott

There is no separate download for the SDK of VMB 8.x.

You need to create the .wsdl from the MediaBin WebServices. The MediaBin WebSerivces will be installed to …\MediaBin Server\mbwebserver\ folder during the server installation. The same needs be accessed from the browser as http://MBServer_Name/mbws/ .

The above URL shows the http://MBServer_Name/mbws/viragemediabinserver.asmx with a list of web methods. You will then need to generate the .wsdl from URL by hitting http://MBServer_Name/mbws/viragemediabinserver.asmx?wsdl

The same wsdl can be used to create their custom webapplications.

An internal note has been filed to correct the documentation in a future release.
