Hello,

I am trying to add a custom menu item in the File Operations menu (Task Options->Start Task->File Options). How do i do this? I've successfully added the Set Metadata command to the File Menu on the UI using an entry in iw.cfg, but cant get it to show up under the File Options section when viewing a task's details (starting a task). Any help would be appreciated!

Adding a menu item to "File" will add it to both the File menu in the WD/WD Pro UIs and to the "File Options" menus in the task details window (not the menu for the task where your transitions appear, but to the menus that appear next to all the files attached to the task).

If you're seeing something different, try running iwreset -ui. Another common problem is that custom menu items must have unique identifiers (the foo in custom_menu_item_foo). If that doesn't correct the problem, can you post your iw.cfg customization here?

could be a silly suggestion, but does it help if you remove those double == signs

custom_menu_item_metadata== ... blabla...

and then iwreset -a

Hi,

Something on the simalr lines of what you have done.

I have implemented the default Approval WF. The approver can see 'Approve' and 'Reject' in the task options in the to-do list and also in the Task Options->Start Task->Select Task Operation. Can I remove the 'Approve' and 'Reject' from the Task Options->Start Task->Select Task Operation menu list, so that the approver can only approve/reject from the main To-Do list->Task Options.
