OD Base installation issue
jihan
Hi,
I'm trying to install OD Base v7.3.1 on Solaris 10 x86 VM. Installation seems to be without any issue, but when trying to start OD, I get the error:
nohup: /export/home/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java: Invalid argument
/export/home/OpenDeployNG/lib/iwodclt: /export/home/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java: cannot execute
Java version: 1.6.0_30.
Can somebody help me please?
Thanks

It doesn't sound like the exact same issue - but take a look at
this thread
and see if it helps any.
Also - verify the access mode bits on /export/home/OpenDeployNG/lib/iwodclt: /export/home/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java -- it should probably be one of:
If it's anything else that might account for the error message displayed

I assume you have removed everything and tried from scratch as well.
One other possibility (doubtful), I have seen installs fail because the installer likes to execute programs out of /tmp but the sys admins have that partition set to not run executable scripts/programs.

Thanks for your feedback.
But I installed using a wrong installer - SPARC instead of x86. Am downloading the x86 installers now and will try it out.
Sorry bout that.
Thanks!
