TS7.3.2 iwtsindex missing?

Hi all.
Anyone installed 7.3.2 on win2008 64 bit, local oracle DB, local Search?
We've been trying out 7.3.2 and we are getting '9000 access denied' in the log files.
After install we see the following:
1) Search no longer appears optional, as installer wants to know where its Idol is
2) In our case iwtsindex is not installed when we finish the Search install.

The guides seem to imply that iwtsindex should still exist, but then we all know that the guides don't always keep up with the 'changes under the hood'. Has anyone done a TS7.3.2 install and had the 4 Autonomy Content services, search manager and index manger be there when they were finished.

I did on Linux but not on windows, so I guess there should not be much difference here.

In 7.3.2 installation you dont get indexer service when you install IDOl. Rest of all components remains same functionally.

We uninstalled OD, Teamsite and Search and then reinstalled: this time everything including the indexing service was there. We'll probably never know why it did not install the first time but all's well that ends well.

that's great.. so in that case something wrong with the 7.3.2 search installer. we might need to relook at it or ask support if it is required to uninstall and reinstall as we don't see indexer service running.

I also have this issue. I have just upgraded from TeamSite731 to 732, including the search on Solaris10 x86. Installer says everything OK, but when I tried to start the indexer it reported the file missing....

bash-3.00# /etc/init.d/iw.idol start
Interwoven IDOL Search Server starting ...
Started
bash-3.00# /etc/init.d/iw.tsindex start
bash: /etc/init.d/iw.tsindex: No such file or directory

Another case for iwov ;-)

Well, it is true. There are already TeamSite UI issues with it, I'm waiting to fix existing ones before I work on Indexer issue, probably with reinstallation, else have to depend on support.

I got an update late lastweek from I/A support on indexer service missing with 7.3.2 version. They have renamed it to tsconnector. so if someone reinstalled 7.3.2 version and brought back iw.tsindex service then it's incorrect. I have tsconnector service up and running and works normally.

Index service appears to have been renamed to TSConnector after the TeamSite 7.3.1 Update 2 update, and maintains this name in 7.3.2.

Good post. Just ran into this issue with 7.3.2 Search upgrade from 7.3.1. I'm going to go test iw.tsconnector now. Doco fail!

A change in functionality to using tsconnector instead of tsindex was introduced in Teamsite 7.3.1 Update 2 and documented in TeamSite_Indexer_7.3.1U2_TechNote_en.pdf - available on the support site 7.3.1 documentation.

So the correct order to start search/indexing is now;

/etc/init.d/iw.idol start
/etc/init.d/iw.tssearch start
/etc/init.d/iw.tsconnector start

Unfortunatly when i start the new tsconnector I get a core file (as i did with iw.tsindex in 731 Update 2. Previously to update 2 it was working fine!), still speaking with support ;-(

Excellent post. We just installed 7.3.2 and couldn't get Search to work. I wished that the documentation was better and address issues like this.
