OD 7.3.2 talking to earlier receivers?

I have not tried as yet, but am wondering if anyone has tried to have a say OD 7.3.2 base talk to very old OD receivers. Say 5.6. Some later versions had no issues, but I'm wondering if anyone tried.

I have a few boxes that I would rather don't touch.

As long as you're not using any deployment features that didn't exist in 5.6 it has a reasonable chance of working since 5.5.1 was the version that first started planning for both down-rev and up-rev deployments.

That said, it's definitely a gamble so you'll want to try it out with simple things first (like a variant of the test.xml to deploy files to ODHOME/tmp) and then try to verify the different config files you will need to use (since one of them may use features that are not supported down-rev)
