Timeout between Web Daemon and Application Container

We just upgraded to Teamsite 7.3.1 on Solaris X and when attempting to tag multiple files, we are getting the classic error:

"The Interwoven Web Daemon was unable to contact the Interwoven Application Container. The Interwoven Application Container may be down, or running on an unexpected host or port. "

After we get the error, we're then able to tag files again. I am assuming this is some sort of timeout that is being hit when the daemon requests the info from the app container. Can this timeout setting be modified? Thanks.
