disable delete icon from menu

can anyone help me with this...

I dont want when author loggs in to teamsite to see the delete icon, i mean i want to disable delete for author, where do i configure this? any help..........

There's a section in the TeamSite Administrator's Guide regarding disabling menus based on roles. That would allow you to disable the Delete menu item.

I'm not sure about delete icons/
